Honest is an inviting café located in the southern part of Brussels.

At the heart of this project was our clients’ desire to elevate coffee, with a dedicated space for its roasting. Drawing inspiration from the rich hues and textures of coffee, the colour and material palette echo its warmth and depth.

Nestled in a bustling neighbourhood, our goal was to fashion an inclusive retreat. We meticulously carved distinct spaces, reimagining the existing elements to integrate them into our design ethics, blending materials for a comforting ambience.

The strategic bar placement veils the stairs, offering a gentle introduction upon entry. By reshaping the elongated space into human-scale proportions, we crafted an intimate yet airy atmosphere that extends a warm welcome.

The custom woodwork pay homage to these spatial proportions, complemented by generous high windows that bathe the interiors in natural light.

An array of seating options; a communal table, cosy nooks, and inviting benches imbue the space with an evolving character, reminiscent of a café that has matured gracefully over time, embracing a timeless allure.

This cherished coffee haven epitomizes our commitment to crafting inclusive spaces, rooted in humility and serenity, inviting visitors to savour the essence of a beloved neighbourhood refuge.
