DINGHI
Dinghi Bar holds a unique spot in a renowned public space of Brussels.
Like most hospitality projects, this bar presented two main challenges a low budget and a tight timeline. These limitations fuelled our creativity, enabling us to translate the client’s vision into a warm, sunset-inspired haven that emanates vibrancy even in quieter moments.
The design journey for Dinghi was unlike any we would experience. Leveraging the clients’ expertise in operations, their involvement in the space's conception influenced its final form, shaping a distinct process.
Time constraints led to a unique approach—the construction/demolition phase commenced before the final design, offering an unusual yet inspiring challenge that ultimately influenced the space's design evolution.
Mindful of budget limitations, we curated materials, furniture, and equipment from second-hand sources wherever possible, infusing character and sustainability into the space's essence.
Our goal was to fashion distinct atmospheres, crafting cosy pockets within the space; a lively bar area with high seats, a chill, snug room adorned with curved banquettes, and a secluded private space nestled near the kitchen.
To unify these diverse atmospheres, a high fabric ribbon wraps around the space, tying together the various rooms and vibes seamlessly. The bar takes centre stage, designed as the heart of Dinghi, pulsating with activity while acting as the linchpin connecting the diverse atmospheres within
