DAMES BLANCHES

This home is our first renovation project as études, marking our foray into the Brussels residential landscape. This project aligns with our commitment to work with buildings of character and revive them in the most respectful way. A beautiful opportunity for us to let the existing shine while creating a new personal story for our clients.

In the early stages, we realized asbestos was all around the house, a challenge we transformed into opportunity. Stripping layers away, we uncovered the original features we wanted to keep and enhance: the concrete ceilings, integrated timber windows, and patterned oak floors.

Our approach was to enhance rather than conceal the rugged elements adding natural and restrained materials, creating a seamless visual transition from indoor to outdoor spaces.

A pivotal factor in the project's success was our collaborative efforts with clients and builders, ensuring a cohesive result that complemented the overall vision.

This project embodies études’ dedication to transforming spaces, respecting architectural heritage, and envisioning purposeful futures for our clients through long lasting propositions.
